In Tokyo, a 22-year-old famous Japanese blogger was killed with a knife during a live stream on one of the public streets. After the attack, she died shortly after. According to the Japanese agency Kyodo, a suspect was detained shortly after the incident. Investigators discovered dozens of knife wounds on the body of the young woman, including to the head and neck.
It is believed that the suspect, a 42-year-old man, is one of the dedicated followers of the blogger and regularly watched her videos over several years. According to preliminary data, due to previously announced timing of the live broadcast, the man could have targeted his victim. As for the motives of the murderer, he claimed that he had asked the victim for two million yen (about 13450 dollars), which she had never returned. The police are currently conducting checks on the veracity of his statements.
