A concert hall that hosted the only concert by The Beatles in Japan has unveiled a collection of forgotten photos of the band, about 60 years after the event. In 1966, when the quartet was at the peak of its global fame, they performed five summer concerts in Tokyo. In 2009, 100 photographs taken during the events were found 'on a shelf' in an office at the concert hall. However, the film reels were labeled as belonging to the Japanese newspaper 'Yomiuri Shimbun' and 'remained untouched' until recently. As the 60th anniversary of The Beatles' concerts in Japan approached, an expert on the band's work was asked to evaluate the photos, and he concluded that they had not been published before.
