On Monday, the U.S. president was greeted with a warm welcome in Japan, the latest stop on his five-day Asian tour, which he hopes to culminate in an agreement with Chinese President Xi Jinping on a truce in the trade war between the two countries. Trump, on his longest trip abroad since taking office in January, also announced deals with four Southeast Asian countries during the first leg of the tour, including Malaysia, and will conclude his tour in South Korea, where he will meet with Xi on Thursday.
