A well-known Japanese blogger announced the end of her career in the field of competitive eating due to health and age problems. Yuka Kinoshita revealed her decision in early February, shortly after returning to social media after a temporary break due to a viral gastroenteritis.
"On February 4th, I took a break from eating contests, and it has become really hard for me to continue working as an eater," shared the blogger about her feelings. In one of the videos, she munched on a delightful Korean rice dish with 50 eggs and 6 kilograms of miso soup.
Kinoshita's height is 158 centimeters, and her long-term weight was 47 kilograms, although she reportedly consumed between 5,000 to 20,000 calories per meal. "My health has deteriorated over time. That's why I'm afraid that I can no longer eat as I did before."
Her career began in 2009 when she participated in the Japanese reality show "Battle of the Appetites," where she did not win but gained attention for her massive eating habits combined with her slim figure and sweet smile. She also created her own YouTube channel in 2014, where she made videos about her eating adventures.
Among her achievements - a total of 600 chickens, 100 burgers, 5 kilograms of meat, or 5 kilograms of ramen in one meal. Kinoshita stated that she feels a strong reluctance to eat, even when she is not hungry, and decided to change her lifestyle for the sake of preserving her health.
