Representative of the Philippines, Angelica Lopez, completed her journey at the Miss International Beauty 2024 competition, making it to the Top 20 during the coronation night on Tuesday, December 12, in Japan. Lopez was able to reach the Top 20 earlier than she had hoped, as the last places in the Top 20 were filled by contestants from Cabo Verde, Venezuela, Indonesia, Ireland, Cuba, New Zealand, Taiwan, South Africa, Australia, the Dominican Republic, Japan, Poland, Czech Republic, Spain, South Sudan, Vietnam, Honduras, Mongolia, Bolivia, and Nigeria.
Lopez, crowned Miss Binibining Pilipinas International 2023, wowed the audience with her national costume "Pearl of the Eastern Seas" during the grand opening ceremony. Before the start of the competition, Lopez shared her feelings on Instagram: “Every step, each step is a celebration of strength, confidence, and inner power. This journey to Miss International Beauty is a commitment to be myself, just as I am, inside and out.”
The Philippines remains one of the leaders in the Miss International Beauty competition, with six queens in their history, the latest being Kylie Verzosa in 2016. Through her social media, Miss International Beauty reaffirmed its commitment to support sustainable development in the world of beauty.
