The intense snowstorms and blizzards have caused numerous transportation disruptions and created hazardous conditions for the population. Local authorities are urging residents to exercise caution and stay indoors whenever possible. According to rescue services, most fatalities occurred due to traffic accidents and building collapses under the weight of the snow. "We have never encountered this amount of snow in such a short period," stated a government official.
