In central Japan, a knife attack accompanied by an unknown liquid agent struck a rubber factory on Friday. Fourteen people were injured and require emergency medical care.
Tomoharu Sugiyama, head of the civil defense department in Misima, stated, "We need fourteen people to receive emergency services."
The incident began around 2:30 p.m. local time when a call was made to the factory reporting the attack. Sources say a spray agent was used, and several victims sustained knife wounds.
Emergency responders arrived quickly, provided first aid, and transported the remaining fourteen to nearby hospitals for treatment.
