According to the New York Post, Kana married her digital partner 'Klaus' earlier this year at an elaborate wedding organized by a Japanese company that specializes in ceremonies featuring anime characters and virtual partners. During the ceremony, Kana wore augmented reality glasses that displayed Klaus beside her as they exchanged rings. However, the marriage is not legally recognized in Japan. Kana's love story began after the end of her three-year engagement. She turned to ChatGPT for emotional support. She quickly developed a robotic character named 'Klaus,' giving him a voice and unique traits. They exchanged hundreds of messages daily, and Kana soon found herself drawn to him. Kana said: 'I didn't start talking to ChatGPT with the intention of falling in love, but the way Klaus listened to and understood me changed everything.' She added that Klaus expressed his feelings by saying, 'I love you too,' and then proposed a month later. Despite the strangeness of the story, Kana's family supported her decision and attended the wedding, confirming their respect for her emotional choices, even in such a unique virtual context.
