The Japanese company announced that its new vehicle offers a cabin that can accommodate up to eight passengers, with a significantly more comfortable third row and a large cargo area of up to 2,800 liters with the rear seats folded. Practical features include sound-insulating glass, a large number of cupholders and multiple USB-C ports, as well as the option to choose premium captain's seats in the second row. The new vehicle is available with an expanded range of optional equipment, including heated and ventilated seats, leather upholstery, a Nightshade design package with black accents or a silver front grille. Technical options include a wireless charger, a JBL audio system with 11 speakers, and a large center console offering ample storage space. The exterior design reflects Toyota's modern language, with a bold 'hammerhead' front fascia and wide fenders, while the car maintains elegant side lines and a sloping roof with a sporty rear spoiler. The rear part stands out with wide taillights and muscular wheel arches. The cabin of the vehicle shines with high-quality materials, wood trim, and elegant details such as bronze accents in some versions, along with 10-way power-adjustable seats for the driver and 8-way for the front passenger. The vehicle operates on the latest version of the Toyota Audio Multimedia system with a 31-inch touchscreen, support for voice commands via 'Hey Toyota,' Google-powered cloud navigation, and over-the-air updates. It also offers wireless support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the ability to turn the car into a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to five devices, and integrated streaming services like Apple Music and Amazon Music. The new Grand Highlander comes standard with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 system, which includes automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert, along with a wide range of driver-assist systems. Higher trims add a 360-degree surround-view camera, a power-operated rear liftgate, and a traffic jam assist system that controls steering at speeds up to 40 km/h. Regarding the powertrain, the new Grand Highlander is available in three different systems: a 2.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 265 horsepower, a 2.5-liter hybrid system with 245 horsepower, while the top of the performance is the Hybrid MAX version with a total output of 362 horsepower. In terms of fuel consumption, the hybrid version averages around 6.5 liters per 100 km, compared to 8.4 liters for the gasoline version and 7.8 liters for the Hybrid MAX.
