Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation announced on Wednesday its financial results for the quarter ended last September. The world's largest carmaker by sales volume bore the brunt of U.S. tariffs. The company's revenue reached 12.38 trillion yen (about $81 billion), exceeding the forecast of London Stock Exchange analysts of 12.18 trillion yen. Toyota reported a nearly 28% annual decrease in profit, while revenue increased by more than 8%. This marked the second consecutive quarter of declining profits for the company since the U.S. imposed tariffs. Operating profit came in at 834 billion yen, below analysts' forecast of 863.1 billion yen.
