Nikkei Index Drops Breaking Winning Streak

Global financial markets are experiencing instability due to news about the pandemic in the USA and Japan. In particular, the Japanese stock index Nikkei fell on average, ending a series of gains that had lasted for several days.

The Nikkei dropped 0.4%, closing at 31,568.04 points. This occurred after American stocks ended Monday in the negative due to concerns over a slowing global economy from the delta variant of the coronavirus.

"A decline is observed against the backdrop of the general deterioration of the epidemiological situation. This raises concerns in global markets," noted Finnish analyst Hirokazu Kabe.
