Global financial markets continue to remain unstable. Recently, the Japanese stock index Nikkei fell to its minimum level since September 18, reaching 36705.02 points, however, it later recovered from losses and closed 0.4% higher, at 37028.27 points.
It should be noted that the shares of Advantest Corporation, specializing in the manufacturing of equipment for testing chips, rose by 3.7%, which provided a greater stimulus for the index, as shares of Japanese chip manufacturers also showed profits.
On the other hand, the broader Topix index closed down 0.3%, reaching a level of 2700.76 points, while the index had already closed at its lowest level in the last six months on Friday.
Thus, against the background of instability in global financial markets, the Japanese stock index Nikkei finished the trading session on Monday with an increase. This was due to a rise in shares related to semiconductor manufacturers and active demand among investors, although uncertainty caused by American trade policy restrained the index's growth.
