Many American banks have resorted to blocking credit cards issued in Russia, preventing clients from carrying out transactions. Such actions become a consequence of sanctions on card payments against the Russian Federation. It is fully expected that after the introduction of Russian restrictions, prohibitions on exports and other measures that restrict the use of foreign payment systems in the country, complications have arisen with the functioning of Russian cards in American banks. "Many banks do not authorize our cards and ignore payments, since the emitter is a Russian company. When purchasing goods or services using a Russian card, many people have faced transaction refusals," noted one of the users. Users have started to complain about such behavior and share the complications they faced during payment. Card operations for the purchase of goods and services in online stores are also not processed due to the blocking. Banks do not comment on similar actions, however, clients themselves are facing problems in using credit cards, which creates inconveniences and forces them to seek alternative payment methods.
