On Sunday, Japan's Finance Minister expressed deep concern about the potential economic damage caused by a possible global recession.
He noted that the threat to economic growth may arise from uncertainty related to the spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19. At the same time, he emphasized that the Japanese government is ready to take action to support the economy if necessary.
The minister also stated that it is essential to pay attention to the actions of other countries, as the effects of the pandemic may be more significant and affect the global market.
"We are seriously considering the situation and will implement all necessary measures to support the economy in this challenging period," the minister emphasized.
