The leaders of the Hiroshiman and Nagasaki prefectures have invited US President Donald Trump to visit them this year. Traditionally, the mayors of Japan, Tokyo, visit presidents, but Trump has been offered to make an exception in his order of visits to the country.
In the initial statement, it was mentioned that upon Trump's return to the Oval Office, they plan to request his visit to these two prefectures. They hope that Trump, while in Japan for the G20 summit, will take some time to lay flowers and pray for the victims of the nuclear attack during the Second World War.
In connection with these events, the governors of both prefectures, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, are also planning to send official invitations, expressing hope for Trump's agreement to this trip.
